HVAC technician and plumber in Turin: boilers, water heaters, air conditioning

What we do

We are a small, family-run heating company based in Turin, now in its third generation. We work on gas boilers, water heaters and air conditioners in homes, flats, small offices and shops, and we come to you: heating, hot water and cooling, what is usually called HVAC. We also do general plumbing.

Gas boilers: heating repair and maintenance

• Heating repair: no heating, no hot water, error codes, pressure dropping, water leaks, noises, boiler that keeps switching off. We arrive with the most common spare parts on board.
• Annual service (heating maintenance) with flue-gas analysis: the periodic check required in Italy, with the efficiency report (rapporto di controllo di efficienza energetica) and the regional sticker (bollino) registered on the Piedmont register (CIT). We handle the paperwork.
• Replacement and new installation: condensing boilers of all major brands, with a free survey and a written quote before any work starts, plus the certificate of conformity (D.M. 37/2008) required in Italy.

Water heaters

• Hot water heater repair and service: gas and electric water heaters (scaldabagno, boiler elettrico), descaling, replacement, and conversion from an old open-flue gas unit to a safe sealed one.

Air conditioning

• Cleaning and sanitising of split units, condensate drain problems (water dripping from the indoor unit), refrigerant check and leak search, repairs, and installation of new single or multi-split systems. We hold the F-GAS certification required by law to work on the refrigerant circuit.

Plumbing

• Need a plumber? We fix leaks, dripping taps and mixers, toilets and cisterns that leak or keep running, slow or smelly sink and shower drains, stuck shut-off valves and water pressure problems, and we replace washbasins, toilets and bidets. To save water and energy we also install water sub-meters (for a flat, a garage or a garden, after the SMAT main meter), water softeners and anti-scale filters that protect your boiler and water heater. We also install and service under-sink drinking-water purifiers (microfiltration and reverse osmosis), including the regular filter changes. We are licensed for plumbing systems too (D.M. 37/2008, letter D).

   Write in English: the brand of your boiler or unit, what is happening (a photo of the display or the error code helps), and your address. WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us; on the phone we speak Italian.

   We reply with a time slot

   Usually within office hours the same day, with an idea of the cost. Breakdowns with no heating or no hot water get priority.

   Visit and diagnosis

   We check the appliance, explain what is wrong in simple words and confirm the price before doing the work. If a repair is not worth it, we say so.

4. 4
   Report and invoice

   You receive the service report and the invoice by WhatsApp or email. If you rent, we can send them to your landlord or agency in Italian.

Renting in Turin? A note for tenants and landlords

In Italy the annual boiler service is normally paid by the tenant, as ordinary maintenance, while repairs and replacement of the boiler are normally the landlord's responsibility (extraordinary maintenance). Your rental contract may say otherwise, so it is worth checking it first.

Either way, we can help: we can explain the problem to your landlord or letting agency in Italian, send them the quote and invoice them directly if they agree. Many landlords simply ask for a written estimate before saying yes, and we provide it free of charge.

Qualifications and brands

Emme Esse Idrogas is a licensed Italian heating contractor under D.M. 37/2008 (letters C, D and E: heating, plumbing and gas systems), the Italian equivalent of a registered gas fitter, listed on the national F-GAS register for refrigerant gases, with up-to-date training on renewable systems (FER). Every job is done to code and documented.

We work on all boiler brands, including Vaillant, Baxi, Ariston, Beretta, Immergas, Junkers/Bosch, Riello, Ferroli, Saunier Duval, Chaffoteaux, Viessmann, Sime, Fondital and others.

Prices

We tell you the price before we start, every time. For repairs, the cost depends on what we find: a cleaning or an adjustment costs less than replacing an electronic board or a heat exchanger, and we explain the options before touching anything. For a new boiler, water heater or air conditioner the survey and the written quote are free and without obligation.
